GSM Surveillance Engineer:

Duration: 6 months (extendable)

Working Hours: 48 standard hours per week + additional hours as required

Job Description:

Responsible for 24/7 surveillance of GSM Network with different nodes such (HLR's, STG's, MSC's, BSC's, all prepaid nodes).

Perform first line maintenance/escalation of network faults.

* Identifying faults through network surveillance tools.

* In house developed tool.

* To monitor current statistics and performance degradations used by NMC.

Escalation of faults to field support team when faults cannot be cleared remotely.

* Issue work order to Field Operations to take immediate action in rectifying the fault.

* If field operations cannot rectify the fault, escalate the work order to Back Office Support.

* Ensure that work orders and fault escalation.

Clearing of faults through direct communication with field operation technician and technical operation if necessary and getting real time feedback in an effort to achieve 80% work order.

Perform faults management by coordinating support resources (Switching Eng /Back Office).

Liaising with customer care and NTS (NETWORK TECHNICIAL SUPPORT).

* Updating customer care of current network status, where there is urgency.

Send SMS to the management for a service-affecting problem.

Qualification :

The Surveillance Engineer should have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum 5 years in telecommunication field and 2 years Core network /Radio Network experience.
