Working Hours: 48 standard hours per week + additional hours as required

Job Description:

Work within the Data Transcript department and liaising with other relevant STC staff to produce Data Transcript.

Work as part of the Data Transcript team ensuring the smooth running of the department and maintaining team spirit.

Adhere to group work instructions and standard procedures set in place for efficient and professional work practice.

Continuous cycle in the development and improvement of procedures and methodologies within the Data Transcript department.

Continuous liaison with different STC departments to instil confidence in data transcript operations.

Take an active role in group meetings to enhance department objectives.

Seek advice on technical issues from appropriate colleagues and seek to increase own knowledge and work performance.

Actively contribute to the development of technical competence within the DT department.

Assist in clarification and definition of input information requirements obtained as Input to data transcript operations.

Assembly and provision of documentation necessary in the production and delivery of exchange data transcript.

Liaison with relevant personnel or department in regards to switch specifications for new switch implementation.

Completion of relevant DT information to the exchange requirements document.

Provision of on-going support for Data Transcript issues.

Audit all data transcript against standard data sub files set in place before loading into switch.

Maintain a Change Control process for all data transcript produced.

Qualification :

The Data Transcript Engineer should have a B.S. in Electronics & Communication, or equivalent with a minimum 5 years of Experience in telecommunication field.

At least 5 years experience of Data Transcript in AXE environment, or other proven testing/switching /support experience.

Working knowledge of telecom network principles for GSM/WCDMA network.

Knowledge of exchange data principles for 2G/3G.
